Remember -
A primary footprint is made from burning fuel, from the transport we use and the energy we use.
A secondary footprint is made up from all the products we use and the energy used to produce them, transport them and dispose of them.

That was in 1992, in 1997 the world's leaders gathered again in Kyoto, Japan and agreed the Kyoto Protocol.

In Irleand the Dep of Environment, Community and Local Government works to achieve sustainable development.

One of it's initiatives was the levy on plastic bags in 2002. Watch this video and watch this one below to see why this was important.



The Green Party currently has no elected representatives in the Dáil but continues to work for a sustainable future. It's policies are based around RESPONSIBILITY, CONSERVATION, and SELF-RELIANCE

National Spring Clean takes place during April each year and encourages people to actively participate and take reponsibility for litter by conducting clean-ups in their area.

Castletown Residents Association do great work in the estate. Perhaps we could invite someone to talk to us?
