Deputies to the Dáil have many functions and duties. A typical week of a TD involves:
- Meeting constituents and holding advice clinics,
- Attending the Dáil to discuss matters of local and national interest,
- Attending Committee meetings,
- Representing their constituents,
- Attending official functions etc.
